50.
Words: Hugh Stowell

1. From every stormy wind that blows,
From every swelling tide of woes,
There is a calm, a safe retreat;
'Tis found beneath the Mercy-seat.

2. There is a place where Jesus sheds
The oil of gladness on our heads,
A place than all beside more sweet;
It is the blood-stained Mercy-seat.

3. There is a spot where spirits blend,
Where friend holds fellowship with friend;
Though sundered far, by faith we meet
Around one common Mercy-seat.

4. Ah! Whither could we flee for aid,
When tempted, desolate, dismayed,
Or how the hosts of hell defeat,
Had suff'ring saints no Mercy-seat?

5. There, there on eagle-wing we soar,
And time and sense appear no more;
There heav'nly joys our spirits greet,
And glory crowns the Mercy-seat.

372.
Words: George Rawson

1. By Christ redeemed, in Christ restored,
We keep the memory adored,
And show the death of our dear Lord
Until He come.

2. His body, broken in our stead,
Is seen in this memorial bread,
And so our feeble love is fed
Until He come.

3. The drops of His dread agony,
His life-blood shed for us, we see;
The wine shall tell the mystery
Until He come.

4. Until the trump of God be heard,
Until the ancient graves be stirred,
And with the great commanding word
The Lord shall come.

5. O blessed hope! With this elate,
Let not our hearts be desolate,
But, strong in faith, in patience wait
Until He come.

426.
Words: Christopher Wordsworth

1. O Lord of heaven and earth and sea,
To Thee all praise and glory be:
How shall we show our love to Thee
Who givest all?

2. For health and home and lengthened days,
For all the blessings earth displays,
Our God, we owe Thee thanks and praise,
Who givest all.

3. Thou didst not spare Thine only Son,
But gav'st Him for a world undone,
And freely with that blessed One
Thou givest all.

4. For souls redeemed, for sins forgiven,
For present grace and hopes of heaven,
Father, what can to Thee be given,
Who givest all?

5. We lose what on ourselves we spend;
We have as treasure without end
Whatever, Lord, to Thee we lend,
Who givest all.
